I chose this phone because it's barely possible to hold it between your shoulder and head while you are talking to keep both hands free. You can't do this with most modern cordless phones because they are trying to be closer to the size of cell phones. I don't really like the button press for this phone because it's too mushy. You are supposed to be able to dial the phone number and then press the "call" button, but that doesn't work. Instead, you have to press the "call' button first, get a dial tone, and then dial the phone number. It's not a big deal, just something that is supposed to work, but doesn't. We don't have any hearing problems in our family, so I can't comment on that feature of this phone.Works great and is crystal clear for the hard of hearing.
